Ibanez RG121DX Electric Guitar, Walnut Flat

Three decades of metal mastery have shaped the Ibanez RG into the most recognisable and distinctive guitar in their entire lineup. This high-performance machine has been forged through years of evolution, creating a precision instrument that excels in both speed and strength for serious players.

The RG features a GRG maple neck paired with an okoume body, providing excellent resonance and playability. The bound purpleheart fretboard houses 24 jumbo frets across a 648mm scale length, with a comfortable 400mm neck radius and 43mm nut width. The neck thickness measures just 19.5mm at the first fret, making it ideal for fast playing techniques.

Sound comes courtesy of IBZ-6 humbucking pickups with passive ceramic magnets, while the F106 bridge system maintains excellent tuning stability. String spacing is set at 10.5mm with factory tuning in standard pitch (1E, 2B, 3G, 4D, 5A, 6E) using .010-.046 gauge strings. This combination of features makes the RG suitable for players who demand both hardtail reliability and the option of Ibanez’s industry-leading locking tremolo systems.
