From the progressive metal stages to your hands, the JBM9999 represents the sonic vision of Periphery's Jake Bowen, a guitarist who helped define the djent movement that's captivated metal fans worldwide. This upstate New York native has been a driving force behind Periphery's Grammy-nominated sound since their groundbreaking 2010 debut, whilst also pursuing electronic music projects and collaborating with bandmate Misha Mansoor on Four Seconds Ago.
The JBM9999's construction centres around a 5-piece Maple/Walnut neck that provides exceptional tonal clarity and superior attack characteristics. Paired with an Ebony fretboard, this combination produces tight low and mid-range frequencies with a strong high-end attack, complemented by quick response and rich sustain that serious players demand.
Built for lead guitarists and shredders who frequent the higher octaves, this instrument features 27 frets on a Basswood body that offers naturally flat tonal characteristics. The Gotoh® MG-T locking machine heads ensure incredible tuning stability while reducing string-changing time, whilst the Gibraltar Elite bridge's machined brass construction adds mass for improved string vibration transfer and enhanced resonance.
