Hohner Rocket Amp Harmonica Progressive Series A

The Hohner Rocket Amp is a diatonic harmonica engineered specifically for amplified performance, addressing the primary challenge faced by blues and rock players: capturing maximum volume and tone when playing through a microphone. Closed side covers channel all acoustic energy forward into the mic capsule rather than leaking sound through vents. This A–tuned model features 0.9 mm brass reed plates and a comfortable ABS comb with rounded edges, departing from the sharp corners found on traditional harps.

The recessed reed plate design creates a more comfortable playing surface while maintaining the responsiveness expected from 20 brass reeds tuned to Richter temperament across 10 holes and three octaves. Construction includes TORX screws for stable assembly and straightforward maintenance access, with stainless steel cover plates providing durability on the road. The ergonomic comb represents the first serial production harmonica to feature fully rounded sides, edges and corners. Overall length measures 10.2 cm, and the instrument ships in a modern snapcase.
