Hohner Marine Band Deluxe Harmonica in the Key of G

Hohner has modernised the most famous blues harmonica in history without sacrificing the tone that made it legendary. The Marine Band Deluxe takes the classic Marine Band design and addresses the playability issues that held back the original, adding reinforced covers with side vents and an open back for greater volume, Torx screws for easier maintenance, and rounded reed plate edges that won't irritate your lips during extended playing sessions. This is a diatonic harmonica in the key of G that preserves the deep, expressive blues tone of the original while bringing ergonomics and durability into the modern era.

The comb is pearwood sealed with multiple layers of clear lacquer, plus an UltraGlide coating on the mouthpiece that minimises swelling from moisture. Reed plate edges and channel openings have been rounded off to improve comfort during long practice sessions and gigs. The cover plates are reinforced and vented at the sides, with an open back design that increases both volume projection and structural stability. Torx screws replace the traditional slotted screws, making disassembly for cleaning and maintenance considerably faster. Hohner includes a modern snap–case that protects the instrument without the bulk of vintage–style boxes.
