Hohner Marine Band Deluxe Harmonica in the Key of A

Hohner has brought the classic Marine Band harmonica into modern playing conditions with the Deluxe model, tuned to the key of A. This diatonic harp retains the original's blues tone while adding Torx screws for reliable assembly, reinforced covers with side vents and an open back for increased volume, and rounded reed plate edges that make extended playing sessions more comfortable. The multiple–lacquered pearwood comb resists moisture swelling better than traditional unfinished wood, with an UltraGlide coating on the mouthpiece reducing friction during fast passages.

The pearwood comb receives several layers of clear lacquer before final assembly, creating a moisture barrier that maintains tuning stability across sessions. Reed plate edges and channel openings are rounded off to eliminate sharp contact points, reducing tongue and lip fatigue during bending techniques. The redesigned covers feature side vents that increase airflow and an opened rear section that boosts both volume and harmonic response. Torx fasteners replace traditional screws, allowing players to disassemble the instrument for cleaning and reed adjustment without stripping threads. A snap–close plastic case replaces the traditional cardboard box for better protection during transport.
