Hofner Shorty Deluxe Series Solid Body Travel Guitar (Black) inc Gig Bag

The Hofner Shorty Deluxe is a full-scale travel guitar engineered to deliver genuine playing experience in a compact body that fits aircraft overhead lockers. Built on a basswood body with a bolt-on maple neck, this solid-body electric maintains a full 24.7-inch scale length while shrinking overall dimensions to prioritise portability. Twin humbucker pickups replace the single-coil configuration of the original Shorty, expanding tonal range and adding warmth across the frequency spectrum. The updated headstock design references classic Hofner styling, complete with the maker's script logo.

The 22-fret blackwood fingerboard spans from a 42mm nut width to 52mm at the 12th fret, with dot inlays and side markers for position reference. Neck thickness measures 21mm at the first fret and 22mm near the heel, joined at the 18th fret via bolt-on construction. Single nickel tuners with matching buttons handle tuning stability, while a fixed metal tailpiece and bridge anchor strings without adding travel weight. Black finish covers the entire instrument – body, neck, and hardware integration. A bone nut provides consistent string contact. The included padded gig bag offers protection during transport.
