Guild's Surfliner Deluxe is an offset solid–body electric inspired by California's Pacific coastline, blending vintage aesthetics with contemporary appointments. The guitar pairs a lightweight solid Poplar body with Guild's first roasted Maple neck, offering increased stiffness and stability alongside a dark–aged appearance. Available in five metallic finishes including Rose Quartz, the Surfliner Deluxe targets players seeking classic styling without compromising on modern playability and tonal flexibility.
The HSS pickup configuration pairs a Guild HB–2 bridge humbucker with Alnico II magnets alongside two DeArmond® Aerosonic single–coil pickups in the neck and middle positions, delivering warm vintage tones alongside chiming single–coil character. The satin C–shaped neck spans a 25.5" scale with a bound Rosewood fingerboard and block inlays, ensuring smooth action across the fretboard. A traditional 5–way blade switch provides instant access between pickup combinations, whilst the new Guild Floating Vibrato Tailpiece (GFVT) offers adjustable tension and enables everything from subtle flutters to deeper swells without sacrificing tuning stability.
