The G6122TG Players Edition Country Gentleman® Hollow Body represents the pinnacle of Gretsch’s hollow body craftsmanship, combining authentic vintage voicing with modern professional features. This state–of–the–art instrument features a comfortable 2”–deep maple body with parallel bracing that produces resonant hollow body tones, while the Electrotone–body style with its shallow depth and sealed top provides enhanced feedback control and low–end response. The vintage–inspired design from the 1960s includes simulated f–holes that contribute to both the classic aesthetic and improved performance characteristics.

At the heart of this instrument are the all–new FT–67 Filter’Tron™ humbucking pickups, specifically designed to capture authentic Gretsch voicing while offering a more well–rounded tone for contemporary playing styles. These powerful pickups provide pristine top–end chime, glassy midrange, and robust low end with balanced harmonics that blend seamlessly in any musical context. The comprehensive control layout includes separate bridge and neck volume controls, three–way pickup toggle switching, no–load master tone and master volume, allowing for infinite tonal variations enhanced by the “Squeezebox” paper–in–oil capacitor and treble bleed circuit.

The playing experience is enhanced by a 12”–radius ebony fingerboard with rolled edges and 22 medium jumbo frets, mounted on a 25.5”–scale maple neck with a comfortable standard “U”–shaped profile. Luminlay® side dots provide precision fretting in low–light conditions, while the string–through Bigsby B6GP vibrato tailpiece works with the Adjusto–Matic™ bridge and Graph Tech® TUSQ® XL nut for maximum tuning stability and enhanced sustain.
