The G5422G–12 Electromatic® Classic Hollow Body Double–Cut 12–String brings the unmistakable jangle and chime of the ‘60s invasion straight to your fingertips. This full hollow–body guitar captures that classic Gretsch sound with its laminated maple construction, featuring vintage–inspired perimeters and refined arches that define the authentic hollow–body aesthetic. The all–new trestle block bracing system reduces unwanted feedback while increasing rigidity between the body’s top and back, resulting in faster attack, enhanced focus, and improved sustain.

At the heart of this instrument are the FT–5E Filter’Tron™ pickups, which produce the huge full–bodied punch and classic chime that Gretsch guitars are renowned for. The sound explodes with enhanced presence, clarity and note definition that cuts through any mix. An all–new Classic “C”–shaped maple neck provides comfortable playability, topped with a 12”–radius laurel fingerboard for smooth performance across all frets.

Premium appointments include versatile upgraded controls with master volume featuring treble bleed circuit, master tone, individual pickup volume controls and three–position tone switch. The guitar showcases oversized bound F–holes, multi–ply body binding, and a smaller late–‘50s G6120 bound headstock. Additional features include sealed die–cast tuning machines, Graph Tech® NuBone® nut, historic pearloid Hump Block inlays, secured Adjusto–Matic™ bridge and Gretsch G–cutout tailpiece with gold hardware throughout.
