Gretsch Full Range 14x6.5 Black Steel Wood Hoop Snare

The Gretsch Full Range 14 x 6.5" Black Steel Wood Hoop Snare redefines the classic hammered steel formula with an innovative hybrid design approach. This distinctive drum combines the power and projection of Gretsch’s renowned Hammered Steel Series with the unique addition of Satin Black 13–ply Rock Maple hoops.

These wood hoops create a notably different feel and sound when playing rim shots and cross sticks, offering drummers fresh tonal possibilities. The maple construction also serves to control some of the natural overtones inherent in steel shell drums, resulting in a more refined sonic character.

The end result is a snare that strikes an impressive balance between warmth and projection, giving you the best of both worlds in a single, versatile instrument that stands out from traditional all–steel designs.
