Gibson's Victory Figured Top resurrects an 80s design following sustained player demand for its return. The instrument balances period–correct character with modern refinement–shaped body contours, improved weight distribution, and an Explorer® headstock distinguish it from contemporary offerings. The mahogany construction pairs a 25.5" scale with an AA figured maple cap, delivering visual presence and tonal foundation suited to players seeking vintage–inflected character without compromise on playability.
Construction centres on a mahogany Slim Taper neck fitted with ebony fretboard, compound radius, and 24 medium jumbo frets–geometry optimised for both position shifts and sustained bends. The body houses a Tune–O–Matic® bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece, anchoring tuning stability across the instrument's range. Electronics employ a pair of 80s Tribute humbuckers wired to push/pull master controls enabling coil splitting and inner/outer coil selection, yielding humbucker and single–coil voice options via the three–way pickup selector without circuit clutter. Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish and included hardshell case round the specification.
