Built in Bozeman, Montana, this cutaway dreadnought pairs a thermally aged Sitka spruce top with Indian rosewood back and sides, drawing tonal DNA from the 1936 Advanced Jumbo whilst maintaining contemporary playability. The 25.5" scale and Gibson's scalloped Advanced X-bracing deliver the authoritative resonance that justifies its positioning as a serious recording and performance instrument.

Crafted with a mahogany neck in round profile and bound ebony fretboard, the Songwriter Recording Artist ships with a compound dovetail joint secured via hot hide glue for maximum stability and tonal transfer. High-quality Grover® open-back tuners, bone nut, ebony bridge with TUSQ® pins, and mother-of-pearl diamond inlays on the 20-fret fingerboard reflect the attention to detail expected at this level. The built-in L.R. Baggs™ HiFi system employs dual bridge plate sensors and an onboard preamp to capture natural acoustic character with superior string balance and feedback rejection, whilst soundhole-mounted controls remain accessible yet visually discreet.
