Reclaiming its heritage with authentic rosewood construction, the Gibson SJ-200 Standard Rosewood returns to the original timber specification that defined the earliest examples of this legendary acoustic guitar. Known worldwide as the "King of the Flat-Tops," the SJ-200 has earned its reputation as the most famous acoustic guitar on the planet, and this rosewood variant pays homage to the model's distinguished roots.
The guitar combines traditional rosewood back and sides with a premium Sitka spruce top, creating the rich, resonant tone that has made the SJ-200 a studio and stage favourite for decades. A mahogany neck features a comfortable round profile, while the rosewood fretboard showcases graduated crown mother-of-pearl inlays that complement the instrument's elegant aesthetic.
Professional appointments include a classic two-bar moustache bridge, TUSQ® bridge pins, saddle and nut, plus gold Grover® Imperial™ tuners for reliable performance. The integrated L.R. Baggs™ Anthem active pickup system combines an under-saddle pickup with microphone technology, providing studio-quality amplified sound for recording and live performance applications.
Available in both right and left-handed configurations, each instrument includes a Gibson hard-shell case for protection and portability.
