Gibson SG Standard Bass Heritage Cherry Electric Bass Guitar

Gibson's SG Bass stands as one of the most recognisable and beloved instruments in the company's storied catalogue, combining distinctive aesthetics with the unique tonal characteristics that have made it a favourite among bassists worldwide. The short scale length isn't just a design choice for smaller players — it's fundamental to the instrument's signature sound profile, producing the strong fundamental tone that defines this classic bass.

Crafted with a solid mahogany body featuring deeply sculpted scarfing, the SG Bass maintains the visual drama and sonic warmth that mahogany is renowned for. The rounded profile mahogany neck paired with a rosewood fingerboard provides that familiar, comfortable feel that players have come to expect from Gibson's craftsmanship.

The electronics package includes a pair of calibrated SG bass pickups positioned at the neck and bridge, each with individual volume controls plus a master tone control. This configuration opens up a wide range of tonal possibilities, allowing players to dial in everything from warm, rounded tones to more aggressive, punchy sounds that cut through any mix.
