The Gibson Custom Shop Rosanne Cash J-185 represents a remarkable collaboration between one of country music's most respected artists and the legendary guitar manufacturer. Rosanne Cash, a four-time GRAMMY® Award winner with 15 albums to her credit, has worked closely with Gibson to create an instrument that matches her diverse musical palette spanning folk, pop, Americana, rock, and blues.
This signature model features a flame maple body with a slightly thinner profile for enhanced playing comfort, topped with thermally-aged Sitka spruce. The SlimTaper™ 24.75" mahogany neck includes a rosewood fretboard fitted with 20 standard frets and mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays. Both the Gibson logo and Crown feature mother-of-pearl detailing, maintaining the instrument's premium aesthetic.
A standout feature is the custom pickguard bearing Cash's logo, designed by Rosanne and her husband John Leventhal, drawing inspiration from her father's iconic J-200 pickguard shape. The guitar comes equipped with an L.R. Baggs™ VTC under saddle pickup and preamp system, making it stage and studio ready straight from its included custom Rosanne Cash hard-shell case.
