Gibson's Les Paul Standard 50's brings back the legendary design that defined rock and roll history, capturing the essence of the company's most innovative period. This authentic recreation pays homage to the Golden Era while maintaining the classic specifications that made the Les Paul a cornerstone of modern music across countless genres and generations.
Built with a solid mahogany body topped with maple, the guitar features a rounded 50's-style mahogany neck paired with a rosewood fingerboard adorned with traditional trapezoid inlays. The 24.75" scale length and 12" radius provide the familiar feel that players have cherished for decades, while the gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish adds both protection and vintage aesthetic appeal.
The pickup configuration centres around calibrated Burstbucker 1 and Burstbucker 2 humbuckers, loaded with AlNiCo II magnets for authentic vintage tone. These are complemented by audio taper potentiometers and orange drop capacitors, ensuring the electronic components match the guitar's classic pedigree. Hardware includes the iconic ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminium stop bar tailpiece, vintage deluxe tuners with keystone buttons, and aged gold tophat knobs that complete the period-correct specification.
