Gibson's Les Paul Studio Session represents a refined take on the Studio lineage, built for players who want the core Les Paul character without unnecessary cosmetic expense. The Ultra Modern weight-relieved mahogany body keeps fatigue at bay during extended sessions, whilst the AA figured maple cap delivers visual depth and contributes measurable brightness to the tonal palette. This is a working guitarist's instrument–purpose-built, not overloaded with finishes that add heft but little substance.

Construction centres on a glued-in mahogany neck with a Modern Contoured Heel for genuine upper-fret access and a SlimTaper profile that suits both chord work and lead playing across the 12" fretboard radius. The 628.65mm scale carries 22 medium jumbo frets topped with acrylic trapezoid inlays. Electronics matter here: a '57 Classic® in the neck and '57 Classic+ in the bridge are wired through independent volume controls with coil-tap switches, plus individual tone controls with phase and Pure Bypass options. The Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and Graph Tech® nut anchor tuning stability, supported by Grover® Rotomatic tuners with Keystone buttons. This control set yields genuine tonal flexibility without complexity.
