Gibson's Les Paul Studio Double Trouble builds on decades of studio and stage credibility by distilling the core Les Paul formula—glued mahogany neck, humbucking pickups, and the tonal signature of maple–capped mahogany construction—into an instrument stripped of unnecessary frills. Following strong demand for the limited–run Double Trouble Standard models, Gibson expanded the concept into the Studio tier, making this refined platform accessible to working musicians and recording artists who prioritise performance substance over cosmetic embellishment.

Construction centres on an ultra–modern weight–relieved mahogany body paired with a plain maple cap, yielding the midrange authority and warmth the design is known for. The 628.65mm scale length and 22 medium jumbo frets on a bound rosewood fretboard with 12” radius support both barre work and expressive bending. Neck geometry follows the SlimTaper® profile, angled at a traditional heel for comfort during extended sessions. Two exposed Burstbucker® Pro pickups with Double Classic White bobbins handle both articulate articulation and dynamic response, whilst independent volume and tone circuits—each volume incorporating a push–pull coil–tap for single–coil voicing—expand the sonic range considerably. Hardware includes a Nashville Tune–O–Matic bridge, aluminium Stop Bar tailpiece, Graph Tech® nut, and chrome Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons.

This Cherry Sunburst finish ship with a soft–shell case. The open–coil pickup presentation signals stage readiness, whilst the spec sheet delivers genuine versatility across genres. Limited production status means availability remains finite.
