Gibson's legendary Les Paul Standard 50s Plain Top brings the authentic spirit of the company's Golden Era back to modern players, honouring the classic design that has shaped music across countless generations and genres. This instrument pays homage to the timeless specifications that made the Les Paul relevant, played, and loved by musicians worldwide.
Built with a solid mahogany body featuring a plain maple top, the guitar showcases a rounded 50s–style mahogany neck paired with a rosewood fingerboard adorned with trapezoid inlays. The hardware package includes the classic ABR–1 Tune–O–Matic™ bridge, aluminium Stop Bar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with distinctive Keystone buttons, and aged gold Top Hat knobs that complete the authentic vintage aesthetic.
The tonal foundation comes from carefully calibrated Burstbucker™ pickups – a Burstbucker 1 in the neck position and Burstbucker 2 at the bridge – both loaded with Alnico 2 magnets. These pickups work alongside audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop™ capacitors to deliver the classic Les Paul sound. Available in striking custom colours and supplied with a protective hard–shell case, this instrument represents Gibson's commitment to authentic craftsmanship.
