Gibson's Les Paul Standard '50s Double Trouble brings vintage authenticity to life with its distinctive uncovered Burstbucker™ pickups featuring striking Double Classic White bobbins. This limited-run model captures the essence of the classic '50s era whilst offering collectors something truly special - only 500 guitars per colour will ever be made.
The guitar showcases all the hallmark features that made the original Les Paul Standard legendary: a solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany body crowned with AA figured maple, paired with a rounded '50s mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard complete with 22 medium jumbo frets and trapezoid inlays. What sets this model apart is its special full-gloss Vintage nitrocellulose lacquer finish, hand-sprayed and lightly faded to replicate the subtle ageing found on genuine '50s instruments.
Premium hardware includes an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, aluminium Stop Bar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and aged gold Top Hat knobs with dial pointers. The uncovered Burstbucker 1 and 2 pickups are meticulously calibrated and handcrafted in Gibson's Pickup Shop, loaded with Alnico 2 magnets and hand-wired using audio taper pots and Orange Drop® capacitors for authentic vintage tone that's as visually striking as it sounds.
