Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble (Honey Burst Gloss) inc Hard Case

The Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble delivers all of the features and performance of Gibson's regular Les Paul Standard 50s models but with added vintage character. These limited-run Les Paul models differ from Gibson's standard Les Paul Standard 50s models in two key respects.

First, the Burstbucker™ 1 and Burstbucker 2 pickups are left uncovered, each fitted with Double Classic White bobbins and standard Alnico 2 magnets. Second, the finishes are exclusive “Vintage” variations of Gibson's nitrocellulose lacquer, slightly faded compared to the standard gloss versions, emulating the gentle ageing seen on instruments from the 1950s.

Each guitar is hand-sprayed, resulting in unique burst patterns. All of the defining features of the Les Paul Standard 50s remain, including a solid non-weight-relieved mahogany body topped with AA figured maple, and a rounded 50s Vintage-style mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, and trapezoid inlays.

Hardware appointments include an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, aluminium Stop Bar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and aged gold Top Hat knobs with dial pointers. The uncovered Burstbucker™ 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) pickups deliver authentic tone with Double Classic White bobbins. Handcrafted in the Gibson Pickup Shop, they are loaded with Alnico 2 magnets and hand-wired using audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop® capacitors. With limited production of just 500 units per colour, the Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble combines vintage style, rare aesthetics, and iconic Les Paul tone.
