Gibson Left-Handed L-00 Special (Natural Satin) inc Soft-Shell Case

Gibson's L-00 has anchored the small-body acoustic landscape since 1932, and the L-00 Special continues that legacy with USA manufacture from the Bozeman luthier workshop. The design prioritises focused, articulate tone through its narrower waist and solid construction–solid mahogany back and sides paired with a solid Sitka spruce top braced in Gibson's traditional scalloped X-pattern. This geometry yields a naturally tighter bass response and extended dynamic range suited to fingerstyle work, blues playing, and recording applications where clarity matters.

Construction runs to hot hide glue neck attachment via compound dovetail joinery, with an utile neck featuring the fast-playing SlimTaper® profile and a 12-inch radius rosewood fretboard across 19 frets. Hardware centres on a rectangular rosewood bridge fitted with a TUSQ® saddle, nut, and bridge pins, anchored by Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners. The 43.815mm nut width and 628.65mm scale support comfortable playability. Single-ply cream binding frames both top and back. An L.R. Baggs® Element Bronze piezo pickup with soundhole-mounted volume control feeds the active preamp, readying the instrument for stage and studio immediately. Satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish in Natural, and a premium soft-shell case complete the package.
