Gibson's legendary Hummingbird™ has captivated musicians worldwide as one of the finest acoustic guitars ever crafted, and the new Hummingbird Faded continues this remarkable legacy. This exceptional instrument masterfully combines vintage character with contemporary construction quality, creating a guitar that honours tradition whilst meeting today's demanding performance standards.
Built with a mahogany body and Sitka spruce top featuring traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing, the Hummingbird Faded showcases premium tonewoods finished in satin nitrocellulose lacquer. The rounded profile neck offers comfortable playability with its 628.65mm scale length, whilst the rosewood fretboard features a 304.8mm radius and elegant mother of pearl parallelogram inlays across 20 standard small crown frets.
Professional appointments include gold Gotoh tuning machines with distinctive green keystone buttons, a bone nut and saddle for optimal tone transfer, and the traditional belly-up rosewood bridge design. The integrated LR Baggs VTC electronics system features an under-saddle pickup with preamp and convenient soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, making this guitar ready for both stage and studio applications straight from its included hardshell case.
