The legendary King of Rock and Roll's personal guitar collection comes to life with the Gibson Elvis SJ-200, a faithful recreation of the acoustic guitar that accompanied Elvis Presley through countless performances. This remarkable instrument is based on the very guitar presented to Elvis during a recording session at Nashville's RCA Studio B in the mid-1960s, which became one of his most treasured performance companions.
Elvis relied on this particular SJ-200 for numerous live shows before presenting it to his trusted aide and mate Marty Lacker at Graceland in 1976. The guitar's journey from recording studio to stage to personal gift reflects the deep connection Elvis had with his instruments and the people closest to him.
The Elvis SJ-200 maintains the classic construction that made these guitars the "King of the Flat-Tops" - featuring a maple back, sides and neck paired with a premium Sitka spruce top. Traditional SJ-200 appointments include mother of pearl inlays, the distinctive Moustache™ bridge, and graduated crown inlays, while modern functionality comes courtesy of an LR Baggs VTC under-saddle pickup system. Each guitar includes a protective hardshell case.
