GHS Pressurewound 5-String Bass String Set, Medium (44-128)

Pressurewounds represent a breakthrough in string technology, offering musicians the ideal compromise between the punch of roundwounds and the smoothness of flatwounds. These innovative strings feature a hex core wire wound with a highly magnetic nickel–iron alloy (Alloy 52™), which is then run through precision rollers to create a slightly flattened final wrap that reduces finger noise without sacrificing tone.

The unique construction results in strings with exceptional articulation that excel across diverse musical styles, from classic Motown grooves to complex progressive arrangements. Fretless bass players particularly appreciate how Pressurewounds maintain that distinctive "mwah" character whilst being gentler on fingerboards compared to traditional roundwound strings.
