The Genelec 7050C stands as the pinnacle of compact subwoofer engineering, combining professional-grade bass management with remarkable low-frequency extension in a surprisingly small footprint. This latest iteration of the celebrated 7050 series brings significant improvements over its predecessors, including reduced distortion, a universal switched-mode power supply, and an impressive maximum SPL of 103 dB. The 7050C serves as an ideal companion for nearfield monitors, particularly Genelec's 8010, 8020, 8030 and M030 models.
Built around a single 205 mm magnetically shielded driver housed within Genelec's innovative Laminar Spiral Enclosure (LSE™) technology, the 7050C achieves extended low-frequency response down to 24 Hz with remarkably low distortion. The compact dimensions of 410 x 350 x 319 mm belie its powerful 130-watt amplifier and comprehensive bass management capabilities, making it suitable for both stereo and multichannel audio systems.
The onboard bass management system features five input and output channels with 85 Hz low-pass/high-pass filters, plus a discrete 120 Hz LFE signal input with selectable +10 dB boost. Rear panel DIP switches provide precise control over subwoofer phase, low frequency roll-off, and the Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) power-saving mode, which reduces standby power consumption to just 0.5 watts. With 5.1 XLR analogue inputs, five XLR outputs, and 5V USB input, the 7050C offers the connectivity and control features demanded by professional audio applications.
