The Fender® Vintera® III Early ’60s Bass VI® brings back the distinctive six‐string bass that carved out its own sonic territory in vintage Fender history. This meticulously crafted recreation captures the authentic look, feel, and tone of the original instrument from the early 1960s, featuring an alder body paired with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard for that classic Fender punch and clarity. The early ’60s “C”‐shape neck profile with its 30″ scale length, 7.25″ radius fingerboard and vintage‐tall frets provides supreme comfort and outstanding playability.
At the heart of this instrument are three vintage‐style early ’60s single‐coil pickups that produce the deep, growling, rich and articulate tones that made Fender famous. The versatile switching system includes individual on/off switches for each pickup plus a low cut switch, giving you extensive tonal options. A vintage‐style floating tremolo allows for expressive vibrato, while the authentic Bass VI mute and vintage‐style tuning machines complete the period‐correct specification.
Available in three classic finishes: 3‐Tone Sunburst with 4‐ply tortoiseshell pickguard, Olympic White with 4‐ply tortoiseshell pickguard, and Candy Apple Red with 3‐ply mint green pickguard. Each model features gloss polyester body finish, gloss urethane neck finish, and nickel/chrome hardware.
