This iconic instrument has been Nile’s constant companion since he discovered it in a Miami music shop, becoming so intrinsically linked to his sound that it’s impossible to separate the artist from his axe.

What makes The Hitmaker truly special is its distinctive 1960 alder body, which is notably smaller and more contoured than your typical vintage Strat. The stunning Olympic White lacquer finish was actually applied by Nile himself during Chic’s early days, giving it that personal touch that only comes from an artist’s own hands. The custom ‘59-profile one-piece maple neck boasts a 9.5” radius fingerboard with medium jumbo frets and satin finish, while a “Nile Rodgers & Chic” logo graces the headstock back and a custom Hitmaker logo is stamped into the neck plate.

The specially-voiced Nile Rodgers Hitmaker single-coil Strat pickups have been meticulously crafted to capture that signature quack, chime and bell-like clarity that made the original so legendary. Additional premium appointments include a hard-tail string-through bridge with period-correct bent-steel saddles, a striking mirrored chrome-plated brass pickguard, locking Sperzel® tuners, and white speed knobs. This remarkable instrument arrives complete with a vintage-style case featuring Hitmaker-embroidered interior and a custom certificate of authenticity.
