Michael Landau's legendary 1959 Stratocaster "Coma" has been the sonic backbone behind some of music's most iconic recordings for over four decades. This remarkable instrument has graced albums by Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson, B.B. King, Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, and countless other legendary artists, making Landau one of the most recorded guitarists in history. The L.A. session ace discovered Coma at a local guitar shop when he was just 16, and its refinished body and swapped pickups gave him the creative freedom to continuously modify the instrument throughout his career.

The Fender® Stories collection faithfully recreates Coma as it exists today, complete with its distinctive faded red satin lacquer finish and permanent marker "Coma" graphic. This signature model features custom-designed ML Ultra Noiseless Strat® pickups in the neck and middle positions, paired with a custom Wide Range humbucking pickup at the bridge. The guitar includes a 6-screw vintage-style Stratocaster tremolo with cold-rolled steel block, custom ML-spec neck, and Fender ClassicGear™ tuning machines.

Each Michael Landau Coma Stratocaster comes complete with a custom Coma-embroidered hardshell case, "Coma" sticker set, custom strap, and a personal booklet written by Michael himself.
