Fender Malibu Vintage Ovangkol Fingerboard Gold Pickguard (Aged Natural)

Born from the revolutionary spirit of 1960s Southern California, the Fender California Vintage King represents a bold fusion of mid–century design innovation and contemporary acoustic engineering. Leo Fender’s original vision, developed alongside legendary luthier Roger Rossmeisl, created a distinctive collection of acoustic instruments that broke conventional boundaries with their unmistakable headstock shapes, comfortable neck profiles and radical styling that helped define the rock–and–roll era.

The California Vintage King features an innovative Performance–X™ bracing pattern within its dreadnought body, expertly crafted with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid ovangkol back and sides. This construction produces a substantial, bass–rich voice with exceptional detail, projection and volume. The okoume neck showcases an ergonomic modern “V” profile paired with a 25.5” scale length for optimal sustain, while the distinctive tilt–back 6–in–line headstock with maple headcap draws directly from Fender’s electric guitar heritage.

Premium appointments include a bound ovangkol fingerboard adorned with pearloid block inlays, vintage–style tuning machines for precise tuning stability, and bone nut and saddle for superior harmonic character. The integrated Fishman® Sonitone Plus preamp system features discreet soundhole–mounted controls that blend an undersaddle piezo with an internal body transducer, ensuring faithful reproduction of the guitar’s natural acoustic voice when amplified. A vintage–style hardshell case completes this distinctive instrument that balances standout aesthetics with superior sound and effortless playability.
