The Made in Japan Hybrid II Precision Bass® brings Fender's vintage foundation into the modern era with tangible refinements aimed at players who demand both tonal authority and fast-action playability. Built around the legendary split-coil P Bass® pickup architecture, this Black-finished bass features a 21-fret maple fingerboard and includes a gig bag. The Modern "C" neck profile with satin back finish delivers immediate comfort, while the 9.5" radius fingerboard strikes a balance between vintage feel and contemporary fretting speed.
The alder body receives a gloss urethane finish over its natural grain, paired with a bolt-on maple neck measuring 34" scale length with a 1.650" bone nut. Custom-voiced Hybrid II single-coil pickups provide the signature mid-forward growl and low-end punch that has defined countless recordings since 1951. Master volume and master tone controls route through a nickel/chrome hardware set including vintage-style tuning machines and a 4-saddle bridge. Nickel-plated steel strings in .045–.105 gauges come factory-installed, with narrow tall frets supporting precise intonation across all 21 positions.
