The Fender Stories Collection Brent Mason Telecaster replicates the heavily modified 1967 Tele that Nashville session legend Brent Mason has used across more than 1,000 albums spanning five decades. This signature model centres on the Glaser Bender system, a string–bending mechanism that allows instant pitch shifts without traditional finger bends – the secret weapon behind Mason's expressive session work for Alan Jackson, Shania Twain, Brooks & Dunn and countless other country hits. The black finish nods to the original's stripped–down grey primer aesthetic, transformed into a studio workhorse through strategic pickup and hardware upgrades.
Three Seymour Duncan pickups deliver Mason's signature tonal palette: a mini–humbucker in the neck position, a Hot Stack in the middle, and a Vintage Stack at the bridge. The Glaser Bender system operates via a lever mounted near the bridge, bending the B–string up to a full tone while maintaining tuning stability through dedicated locking tuners. A maple fingerboard sits atop the bolt–on neck, offering the bright snap required for cutting through dense arrangement sessions. Dunlop locking strap buttons ensure security during tracking work, while the three–pickup configuration provides seven distinct tonal combinations through the standard five–way switching.
