Fender Ltd Ed 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster Relic (Wide-Fade 2-Color Sunburst)

Fender’s Custom Shop has crafted something truly special to mark seven decades of the world’s most iconic electric guitar with the Limited Edition 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster®. This remarkable instrument features a two–piece select ash body with an offset seam on the treble side, finished in a stunning Wide Fade Two–Color Sunburst lacquer. The Custom Shop offers various aging treatments including Time Capsule, NOS, Deluxe Closet Classic, Relic®, Journeyman Relic®, Heavy Relic® and Super Heavy Relic®, each providing different levels of vintage wear to suit your preference.

The guitar’s one–piece quartersawn maple neck showcases a special 70th anniversary Soft “V” profile, meticulously based on an exceptional Strat® neck from July 1954. Topped with a vintage compound–radius fingerboard ranging from 7.25” to 9.5”, it features 21 medium vintage frets and a 1.625” bone nut. Three Custom Shop hand–wound ’54 Strat® pickups provide that unmistakable classic Stratocaster® voice with crystal–clear, bell–like highs, all routed through authentic vintage ’54 Strat® wiring complete with wax paper capacitor and five–way switching.

Authentic first–year appointments include a single–ply white pickguard, serial–number back plate, and 1954–style ABS white pickup covers and control knobs. The Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo bridge, vintage–style tuners, and disc string tree maintain period–correct specifications, while the special 70th Anniversary Stratocaster® neck plate commemorates this milestone. Each guitar comes with a deluxe embroidered hardshell case, special “case candy” kit and certificate of authenticity.
