The Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Paul Waller '62 Strat brings 1962 authenticity to players chasing that rare vintage tone. This isn't a throwback–it's a meticulous recreation built from two–piece alder with a NOS flash coat lacquer finish and Closet Classic hardware. The neck defines the instrument: rift–sawn maple in a warm tint, shaped to a 1963 "C" profile that works for any hand position, paired with a compound fingerboard radius that transitions from 7.25" to 9.5" as you climb toward the body, eliminating fret–out on bends.
Three hand–wound '62/'63 single–coil pickups feed a 5–way switch and vintage–style wiring that opens up all five classic Strat pickup voices. The neck runs 25.5" scale with 21 medium–vintage frets, measures 1.0" thick at the 12th fret, and sits on a 4–bolt plate. An American Vintage synchronized tremolo, bone nut, vintage tuning machines, and a 3–ply parchment pickguard complete the 3–colour sunburst package. You get a deluxe hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity.
