The Fender® American Vintage II series presents meticulously accurate recreations of the instruments that defined modern electric guitar design. Built with period-correct bodies, necks and hardware, premium finishes and carefully voiced, year-specific pickups, each model reflects Fender craftsmanship as it existed in its original era.
By 1963, the Telecaster® had evolved to incorporate alder bodies paired with round-lam rosewood fingerboards, adding warmth and depth while retaining the model’s signature punch and clarity. The American Vintage II 1963 Telecaster faithfully recreates this pivotal specification, featuring Pure Vintage ’63 Telecaster pickups, a comfortable “C”-shaped maple neck and a traditional 7.25" radius fingerboard with period-correct clay dot inlays, including narrow spacing at the 12th fret.
Authentic hardware completes the vintage formula, including a Pure Vintage three-saddle Telecaster bridge with threaded steel barrel saddles and single-line “Fender Deluxe” tuning machines. Finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer and supplied in a vintage-style brown case with orange interior, the American Vintage II 1963 Telecaster delivers the unmistakable tone, feel and detail of a true early-’60s Fender original.
