Fender American Vintage II 1960 Precision Bass Rosewood Fingerboard Black

Step into the legacy of the instrument that revolutionised music history with the Fender® American Vintage II 1954 Precision Bass®. This meticulously crafted recreation captures the essence of the world's first electric bass, the groundbreaking instrument that gave bass players their first portable, precisely intonated, amplified solution. As legendary producer Quincy Jones famously declared, the Fender bass was "the one technological breakthrough that changed music forever."

The American Vintage II series represents Fender's commitment to historical accuracy, featuring period–correct bodies, necks and hardware alongside premium finishes and carefully voiced, year–specific pickups. The 1954 Precision Bass showcases the refined design evolution from its Telecaster®–inspired origins to the sweeping curves and contoured edges that mirrored the newly launched Stratocaster® of that era.

This authentic recreation features a substantial '54 "C"–shape maple neck with 7.25" radius fingerboard and vintage tall frets, paired with the classic '54 Single–Coil Precision Bass® pickup that produces that unmistakable Fender thump. The Pure Vintage 2–saddle bridge with fibre saddles, reverse open–gear tuners, and traditional finger rest complete the vintage specification. Available in Vintage Blonde and 2–Colour Sunburst finishes over ash with single–ply white pickguard, these instruments represent Fender electrics in their purest form.
