Part of the 75th Anniversary Precision Bass® Collection, the American Vintage II 1951 Precision Bass® recreates Fender’s first production electric bass with period-accurate construction and detailing. This limited-edition model reflects the original design that set the foundation for electric bass performance.
The swamp ash body is finished in a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, paired with a one-piece maple neck featuring a 1951 “U”-shaped profile and a 7.25" radius fingerboard with vintage frets. A 75th Anniversary Pure Vintage ’51 Single-Coil Precision Bass® pickup delivers the focused low end, clear articulation, and dynamic response associated with early Precision Bass tones.
Vintage-correct hardware includes a serialized Pure Vintage two-saddle bridge with fibre saddles, Pure Vintage reverse open-gear tuning machines, and a single-ply black phenolic pickguard. The American Vintage II 1951 Precision Bass® is supplied in a vintage-style tweed case with crushed red interior and period-inspired case accessories.
