EVH 5150 Iconic Series 4X12 Cabinet Ivory

Eddie Van Halen's legendary tube tone becomes accessible to more guitarists with the EVH® 5150® Iconic® Series, a powerful 60–watt 2x12 combo that brings flagship amplifier performance at a more affordable price point. Developed through collaboration between the EVH team and renowned amp engineer James Brown, this combo evolves from the celebrated EVH 5150III® amplifiers to provide the searing sound and growling gain that made Eddie Van Halen famous. The amplifier is powered by two 6L6 power tubes and features a sophisticated multi–stage hybrid preamp section anchored by a pair of ECC83 tubes, giving modern guitarists all the firepower they need.

The cabinet construction includes special internal plywood baffling for enhanced bass response and tighter sound reproduction, housing a pair of custom–designed EVH 12" Celestion® speakers specifically voiced for this preamp circuit. This ensures both pristine clean tones and searing high–gain sounds remain tight, clear and articulate. The combo punches above its weight with two channels plus additional voicing options – the Green channel includes an overdrive button for clean to increased gain range, while the Red channel's burn button adds fiery crunch perfect for blistering lead work.

Control features include individual gain and volume controls for each channel, enabling level–matching when switching between clean and high–gain channels. The shared EQ section provides Low, Mid and High controls alongside global resonance and presence knobs for adjusting low and high–end tone characteristics, plus a global reverb control for adding the right amount of bounce and decay. Additional functionality includes a one–button footswitch, effects loop, dual parallel speaker outputs, and a ¼ power switch for cranking the amp while maintaining tone at neighbour–friendly volumes. The 1/8" audio input accommodates backing tracks, while the 1/8" emulated cab headphone/recording output provides accurate all–tube EVH tone for direct recording or PA system use, all wrapped in distinctive Black or Ivory textured vinyl with classic EVH styling elements.
