EVH 5150 Iconic Series 40W EL34 1x12 Combo (Black)

The EVH® 5150® Iconic® Series 40-watt combo brings Eddie Van Halen's legendary tube tone within reach of more guitarists than ever before. Evolving from the acclaimed EVH 5150III® amplifiers, this affordable powerhouse captures the searing sound and growling gain that defined Eddie's groundbreaking career. Designed by renowned amp engineer James Brown, the combo is powered by two 6L6 power tubes and features a complex, multi-stage hybrid preamp section anchored by dual ECC83 tubes.

The cabinet construction utilises MDF with special internal plywood baffling for tight, increased bass response, housing a custom-designed EVH 12" Celestion® speaker voiced specifically for this preamp circuit. This ensures pristine cleans and searing high-gain tones remain tight, clear and articulate. The amp punches above its weight with two channels offering extra voicing options - the Green channel includes an overdrive button for clean to increased gain, while the Red channel's burn button adds fiery crunch perfect for blistering leads.

Each channel features independent gain and volume controls for seamless level-matching when switching between clean and high-gain sounds. The channel two noise gate provides quick attack to suppress hiss while keeping staccato riffing articulate and crisp. Additional features include a foot-switchable 10dB boost control, shared EQ (Low, Mid, High), global resonance and presence controls, plus global reverb. The amp also includes a two-button footswitch, effects loop, dual parallel speaker outputs, quarter-power switch, and speaker-emulated DI XLR with power amp mute for direct recording or PA use.

Sporting distinctive EVH styling, the combo is wrapped in Black or Ivory textured vinyl with black cloth grille and features silver and black 5150 and EVH logo badges. The professional finish includes a brushed aluminium top panel, vintage-style chicken-head knobs and moulded black plastic handle.
