EVH 5150 Iconic Series 15W EL34 1X10 Combo (Black)

The EVH® 5150® Iconic® Series brings Eddie Van Halen’s legendary tube tone within reach of more guitarists than ever before. This 15-watt 1x10 combo amp satisfies the needs of gigging and recording musicians who crave that powerful EVH sound at a more affordable price point. Built upon the foundation of the revered EVH 5150III® amplifiers, the Iconic Series captures the signature growling gain that made Eddie Van Halen famous throughout his groundbreaking career.

Designed by renowned amp engineer James Brown, this compact powerhouse runs on a single EL34 power tube and features a sophisticated multi-stage hybrid preamp section anchored by dual ECC83 tubes. The MDF cabinet incorporates special internal plywood baffling for enhanced bass response and houses a custom-designed EVH 10" Celestion® speaker that’s been specifically voiced for this preamp circuit, ensuring both pristine cleans and searing high-gain tones remain tight, clear and articulate.

Despite its compact size, this combo punches well above its weight with two channels plus additional voicing options on each. The Green channel includes an overdrive button that takes you from clean tones to increased gain, whilst the Red channel’s burn button adds fiery crunch perfect for blistering leads. Each channel has independent gain and volume controls, making it easy to level-match when switching between clean and high-gain sounds.

Practical features include a one-button footswitch, effects loop, dual parallel speaker outputs, and a ¼ power switch that lets you crank the amp whilst preserving tone without disturbing the neighbours. The speaker-emulated DI 1/8" output with power amp mute provides accurate all-tube EVH tone for direct recording or PA use. Wrapped in black textured vinyl with distinctive gold and black 5150 and EVH logo badges, this all-tube combo features a brushed gold anodised aluminium top panel, vintage-style chicken-head knobs and a moulded black plastic carry handle.
