Event Lighting's 400mm spigot box truss is engineered for touring and permanent installation contexts where load capacity and structural integrity matter. Built from aluminium alloy 6061–T6 with a 3mm wall thickness, this lightweight yet rigid framework handles the demands of rigging stage lighting and audio equipment across venues. The 50mm x 3mm main tube forms the primary load path, whilst 50mm x 2mm vice braces and 25mm x 2mm diagonal braces provide triangulated support against deflection.
Available in 0.2m through 4m spans, the truss accommodates diverse ceiling heights and stage configurations without requiring mid-span support columns. At 3m length, the structure can sustain uniform loads of 300kg/m with single centre–point loads reaching 3000kg, making it suitable for substantial rig weights. The washed aluminium finish resists oxidation, and TUV certification confirms structural compliance. Critical installation detail: the ladder–style geometry requires chords facing downward when positioned horizontally; inverting orientation nullifies load ratings and creates unsafe conditions.
