The SC408 stands as EVE Audio's flagship four-way monitor system, engineered specifically for larger control rooms where uncompromising power meets surgical precision. This formidable monitor features dual 8" SilverCone woofers with glass fibre coated diaphragms in honeycomb structure, delivering earth-shaking bass response from 32 Hz up to 250 Hz. The sophisticated 1.5" voice coil design creates greater linear excursion for remarkably clear and accurate low-end reproduction, whilst the low distortion copper cap magnet system ensures tight, punchy bass performance.

At the heart of the SC408's midrange reproduction sits a specially developed 5" driver utilising EVE's copper cap magnet technology, working in harmony with the Air Motion Transformer RS3 (AMT Ribbon System 3). This AMT RS3 tweeter, identical to the SC407 model, houses an enlarged magnet system for higher output levels with virtually no distortion. Each driver receives dedicated PWM amplification totalling 800W of short-term output power, achieving maximum SPL levels of 118dB at 1 metre - more than adequate for even the most demanding studio environments.

The SC408's four-way symmetrical design ensures both woofers duplicate bass frequencies with absolute precision rather than serving different frequency bands, resulting in incredible bass reproduction and linear response characteristics. High-resolution DSP electronics provide single-knob access to accurate volume control and multiple filter settings, supported by a premium 24-bit/192kHz Burr-Brown A/D converter. The rear rectangular port design eliminates hard edges and port compression issues, maintaining efficiency at high volumes whilst the rotatable grey centre plate allows both vertical and horizontal placement options.
