Evans 13" Strata 1000 1-Ply Snare Drum Head

Evans Strata 1000 snare drum heads sit in the single–ply camp, built on a design philosophy that prioritises warmth and tonal depth over bright attack. The 10mil film thickness delivers a darker timbre that echoes traditional calf skin characteristics without the maintenance demands. Evans' Level 360 technology extends the playing surface around the drum's full 360–degree circumference, ensuring even bearing edge contact across the shell.

The coating structure closely mirrors vintage calf skin tonality, lending itself to players chasing warm, controlled snare character across studio and live settings. At 13 inches, this head suits standard snare drums and accommodates the vertically enhanced collar design that guarantees consistent contact with the bearing edge. Single–ply construction naturally offers quicker response and greater sensitivity to stick nuance than thicker alternatives, making it a natural fit for players who value articulation and dynamic range.
