Esteve's Crossover CD sits at the intersection of classical tradition and modern amplified performance. Built by the Spanish luthier with over a century of instrument-making heritage, this cedar-top acoustic–electric is engineered for players seeking classical voicing without the constraints of purely acoustic output. The cutaway design and solid Indian rosewood back and sides deliver projection and warmth whilst the built-in Fishman Sonitone electronics translate that character cleanly into any mixing console or amplifier.
Construction centres on a solid cedar top (Thuja Plicata) paired with laminated Indian rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) for the back and sides, finished in polyurethane satin for durability. The neck measures 48 millimetres at the nut with a truss rod for adjustment and African mahogany (Khaya ivorensis) construction; the fingerboard is Indian rosewood with a 16-inch radius curve, balancing classical ergonomics with contemporary playability. The Fishman Sonitone EQ system handles amplification duties, offering transparent signal shaping designed to preserve the guitar's natural frequency response without colouration.
