Born from ESP's legendary 1987 catalogue, the LTD Mirage Deluxe ‘87 captures the raw essence of the era when ESP guitars first conquered the global stage. This faithful recreation draws from ESP's humble beginnings as a Tokyo repair shop in 1975, evolving into the powerhouse that caught worldwide attention by the mid-‘80s.
Built on the iconic ESP Mirage body shape, this bolt-on shred machine features a solid alder body paired with a three-piece extra thin U-shaped maple neck for lightning-fast playability. The Floyd Rose 1000 bridge system provides rock-solid tuning stability and smooth tremolo action, making it perfect for aggressive playing styles.
The pickup configuration showcases a carefully selected pairing: a Seymour Duncan TB-6 Distortion humbucker in the bridge position with original style bobbins and push-pull coil splitting capability, complemented by a Hot Rail single coil in the neck. The TB-6's massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings produce powerful, balanced rock and metal tones with rich upper-midrange harmonic content, while the Hot Rail packs humbucker warmth and fluidity into a single coil-sized format.
