Erica Synths' Resonant Filterbank is an analogue 10-band stereo filter module engineered for studio and live work. This desktop unit splits incoming audio across ten fixed bandpass filters spanning 29 Hz to 11 kHz, each with independent boost and cut control. The built-in gain stage reaches +24 dB, allowing guitars, synths, drum machines, and acoustic instruments to feed the filters with adequate signal.
Ten 17 dB/decade slope filters use film capacitors for colour and stability across all ten bands. Configurable resonance loops turn the unit into a multimode filter, spectral analyser, or dynamic spectral compressor mode. Twenty independent envelope followers and LFOs open sculptural possibilities. MIDI CC controls all parameters; 128 snapshots (presets) store configurations. Balanced 6.3 mm I/O, MIDI IN/OUT, and configurable footswitch input suit both tabletop and pedalboard integration. The unit measures 25.8 × 17.6 × 7 cm and weighs 1.1 kg.
The Resonant Filterbank reveals texture and movement buried in familiar sources. Envelope followers can track vocal dynamics and reshape drum transients; resonance feedback transforms static instruments into living sound sources. No-input setups generate experimental drones or granular textures. Its depth means each session uncovers fresh territory.
