Epiphone's legendary Crestwood Custom makes a triumphant return, bringing back the classic design that first revolutionised solid–body electric guitars in the late 1950s. Originally debuting as the Crestwood in 1958 before being renamed the Crestwood Custom in 1959, this instrument holds the distinction of being Epiphone's first two–pickup solid–body electric guitar design. The modern iteration stays true to its heritage with authentic features that pay homage to those pioneering early models.
At the heart of this guitar lies a symmetrical double cutaway mahogany body, paired with a glued–in mahogany neck featuring a comfortable medium C profile. The Indian laurel fretboard boasts a 12" radius with 22 medium jumbo frets and classic Epiphone oval inlays, providing both visual appeal and playing comfort. The three–on–a–side reduced sized Kalamazoo headstock showcases the distinctive Epiphone Bikini badge alongside ivory button Epiphone Deluxe tuning machines.
Sound production comes courtesy of two Epiphone PRO Mini Humbucker™ pickups, controlled via 2 volume and 2 tone controls fitted with quality CTS® potentiometers. The striking clear butterfly pickguard features a white centre stripe and foil E logo, adding to the guitar's vintage aesthetic. Completing the package is an Epiphone LockTone™ Tune–O–Matic™ bridge equipped with Graph Tech® TUSQ® saddles and a Tremtone vibrato tailpiece for enhanced tonal versatility.
