Epiphone Thunderbird 64 Electric Bass Guitar with Gig Bag Silver Mist

The iconic automotive-inspired silhouette of the Thunderbird bass has captivated musicians for six decades, and now Epiphone celebrates this legendary instrument with the stunning Thunderbird ’64. This anniversary model pays homage to the groundbreaking Gibson T-Bird basses that first emerged in the 1960s, featuring the distinctive shape originally crafted by renowned automotive designer Ray Dietrich. The classic nine-ply mahogany and walnut neck-through-body construction remains faithful to the vintage originals, providing exceptional sustain and that unmistakable Thunderbird aesthetic.

At the heart of this bass lies a pair of powerful ProBucker™ 760 Bass humbucker pickups, working alongside CTS® potentiometers to produce the deep, rich tones that made the original Thunderbirds so sought after. Modern appointments include a Graph Tech® nut and precision Clover-button tuners with 19:1 gear ratios, ensuring rock-solid tuning stability while maintaining the vintage character. The three-ply pickguard features the instantly recognisable hot-stamped Thunderbird logo, completing the authentic period look.

Available in three striking finishes—Ember Red, Silver Mist, and Inverness Green—the Thunderbird ’64 captures both the visual impact and sonic character of those priceless vintage instruments. Complete with a premium gig bag, this bass offers players access to genuine Thunderbird specifications, tone, and playing feel at a price that won’t break the bank.
