Epiphone has completely redesigned the Prophecy series from the ground up, and the Flying V in Orchid Bloom Satin is the result of that rethinking. This isn't a subtle refresh – it's a mahogany-bodied electric guitar topped with flamed maple veneer, bound with multi-ply detailing, and finished in satin for fast playability. The thermally aged one-piece maple neck uses graphite rod reinforcement for added stability and features the HyperGlide profile, which supports rapid movement across the fretboard. A 25.5″ scale length increases string tension and clarity, particularly useful when working in lower tunings or drop-tuned configurations.

The ebony fretboard carries 24 stainless steel frets across a 10″–14″ compound radius, allowing for fast, low action without sacrificing intonation accuracy higher up the neck. Fishman Fluence pickups in both neck and bridge positions handle the electronics, controlled via single volume and tone knobs plus a three-way toggle. Black nickel hardware includes locking Grover Rotomatic tuners, a Graph Tech nut, and a LockTone Modern bridge with string-through-body tailpiece inspired by the Frequensator design – a configuration that balances string tension for tighter low-end response and expressive top-end articulation. Black mother-of-pearl block inlays and a multi-ply-bound headstock with Custom split diamond inlay complete the visual package.

The guitar ships with a Protector Ultralite soft case. Tuning stability comes from the combination of locking tuners, graphite nut, and modern bridge system, while the through-body stringing optimises sustain and bendability. The compound radius fretboard transitions from comfortable chord work in lower positions to fast single-note runs as you move up the neck, and the stainless steel frets resist wear over extended use.
