The legendary Gibson ES-335 design gets a faithful recreation with Epiphone's 1962 ES-335 Reissue, capturing the magic of a pivotal year in guitar history. This collaboration between Epiphone and Gibson Custom focuses on 1962 specifications that Gibson Custom doesn't currently reproduce, featuring the coveted rounded cutaways, small block inlays, and the fast-playing slim neck profile that defined that era. The semi-hollow construction combines a 5-ply layered maple/poplar body with a solid maple centerblock, providing the resonant tone of a hollowbody whilst maintaining excellent feedback resistance.

The authentic construction continues with a genuine one-piece mahogany neck featuring the thin 1960s SlimTaper™ C profile, topped with a rosewood fretboard that includes 22 medium jumbo frets and mother-of-pearl small block inlays. Attention to detail extends to historically accurate side dot positioning and rounded fretboard edges for that comfortable, played-in feel. The Gibson-style "open book" headstock showcases the Epiphone logo and Gibson Crown in aged mother-of-pearl, fitted with smooth Epiphone Deluxe tuning machines and Graph Tech™ nut.

Electronics feature a pair of USA-made Gibson Custombucker humbucker™ pickups, hand-wired to CTS™ potentiometers and Black Beauty paper-in-oil capacitors for authentic ES-335 tonal versatility across rock, blues, jazz, and country styles. The ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and Gibson historic reissue aluminium Stop Bar tailpiece anchor directly into the solid maple centerblock, contributing to exceptional sustain.
